Malta

Our first Easter bank holiday destination is located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea, Malta. Malta is a charming island known for its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture. Situated south of Sicily, Italy, this picturesque destination offers a blend of influences from various civilizations, making it a fascinating melting pot of cultures. April brings warm weather to Malta, with temperatures ranging 16-21 degrees celsius, perfect for sightseeing without the summer crowds. Bet you didn’t know, Malta is home to some of the oldest free-standing structures in the world, including the UNESCO World Heritage site Ġgantija Temples, which predate the Egyptian pyramids!

Crete

Our second Easter bank holiday destination is Crete.The largest of the Greek islands, this vast island is a captivating destination that boasts a diverse landscape, rich history, and warm hospitality. Nestled in the southern part of the Aegean Sea, Crete offers an enchanting mix of stunning beaches, rugged mountains, and charming villages. To explore just some of what this island has to offer we recommend renting a car and making this getaway into a road trip. When it comes to accommodations, we recommend staying in Chania or Heraklion for easy access to top attractions and amenities. Chania, with its Venetian harbour and old town charm, is particularly popular. Families can also enjoy a day trip to Ras Mohammed National Park for snorkelling and wildlife spotting. In April, Sharm El Sheikh experiences weather ranging 20-30 degrees celsius. April is ideal for beach outings and water sports, before the scorching summer heat arrives. This destination is best suited for families looking for a beach getaway with opportunities for both relaxation and exploration. We think this is an ideal family holiday destination. For a memorable stay we recommend the vibrant resort area of Costa Adeje, known for its beautiful beaches, family-friendly hotels, and array of entertainment options. Families can indulge in thrilling water activities such as jet skiing and banana boat rides at Playa de las Américas or relax on the golden sands of Playa del Duque.
